Paul James

I am a writer, director, filmmaker, creative producer and founder of Dreamotion Studios. Originally from England, I moved to the United States over 20 years ago and reside in Orange County, California.  I have written and sold screenplays, including to a major Hollywood studio, while also directing and producing films and a wide range of creative content (see 'The Projects' page for the latest).

As a former executive VP in Design and Design Operations, I have traveled the world while acquiring essential leadership and business experience, which now compliment my deep passion and ability for creating visual stories.

And now, I'm documenting my creative journey as I continue to explore the wonderful world of filmmaking via professional, personal and Dreamotion Studios projects.

​I hope by sharing my creative journey as a filmmaker, I will help, inspire and entertain others, while establishing a history of my own personal explorations and being the best role model I can be for my daughters.
