These are the quotes after viewing the test scene...
“One of the most powerful scenes I’ve seen in the last 10 years. Not just in a short. In anything.” WB “I can’t believe this is low budget. Don’t compromise your vision for anyone, this is exactly the right angle. Keep it. And these guys are Hollywood.” WB “Look at their (expletive) faces! I’m (expletive) my (expletive) pants! FUCK!” A-List Actor (male) “That slap looks so real! Love the costume design…” A-List Actor (female) #fromunderthebridgefilm #stopbullying #bullyingawareness #cyberbullying

Dreamotion Studios is proud, delighted and of course... VERY relieved to announce the final role has been cast on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project! Tezz Yancey will play 'Chester' (Clare's neighbor). Tezz was one of few actors who really understood what we were looking for in the role. To walk the fine line between awkward and creepy either takes great acting skills, or complete luck. It is safe to say, Tezz did not base his self-tape and call-back performances on pure 'luck'! In fact, Tezz went on to explain how he approached the role during auditions, which aligned perfectly and precisely with the character arc and vision.
Tezz has much diversity in the roles he has played, and I believe this role will expand upon that spectrum. He is a talented and pleasant individual, and goes into the books as the only actor to be given the part while still on the audition call! Congratulations, Tezz. You really understand this character and I look forward to capturing your portrayal on set! Cheers, Paul James #fromunderthebridgefilm Dreamotion Studios would like to state, the actors who auditioned for the role of 'Steven' during the call-back phase were absolutely incredible. So you can imagine just how highly we think of the actor who won the role! We are thrilled to announce, Chris Cimperman will play 'Steven' in the 'From Under The Bridge' film project. Chris is an amazing talent. He is a fluid and natural actor with the ability to apply unique character traits to a role. This was demonstrated both in his self-tape audition AND the call-backs. Chris simply knocked this one 'out of the park' and we had to cast him.
Appearance is also very important here (yes... Chris is easy on the eyes... but that's not what I mean!) There is a subplot where we are invited to observe the relationship between 'Kyle' and his older brother, 'Steven'. And in order to bolster the effects of the scene, and give added strength to the underlying message, a resemblance between the actors was desired. I believe we have found this is Luc ('Kyle') and Chris ('Steve'). This scene is certainly one of my favorites, so I am absolutely ecstatic to know such a brilliant actor will be bringing it to life. Congratulations and welcome to the cast, Chris! Don't miss your flight and if you're bored on the plane... just practice those slaps! Cheers, Paul James We would also like to take a moment to praise Joey Heyworth... the 7 other actors who made it to the call-backs... and all actors who submitted for this role. We feel extremely lucky to have seen so many talented actors while casting for this role.. Thank you! #fromunderthebridgefilm Official IMDB Bio: Born and raised in New York City, Chris was first drawn to acting through his work in production on a variety of network television shows. This prompted him to return to school. He trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, T. Schreiber, and the Actor's Studio, among others. Chris has since kept busy. He can be seen in a host of independent films, national commercial spots, and on television. He resides in Los Angeles. Dreamotion Studios is pleased to announce, Erick McAllister has been officially cast in the role of 'Mickey' (the Irish pub patron) on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project. This is a very special announcement, as Erick was the first actor contacted regarding this film.
Erick is a wonderful and very talented individual, which is clearly evident in his official reel. He has an exceptional range and will be valuable in this important role. Additionally, Erick adds some authenticity to the role with his Irish/Scottish heritage. Congratulations and welcome to the cast, Erick! It gives me great pleasure knowing the first actor connected to the project, who is also local to the area, will be in the final film! Sincerely, Paul James #fromunderthebridgefilm Official IMDB Bio: Actor Erick McAllister was born on February 19, 1971 in San Francisco, California. Dreamotion Studios is delighted to officially cast Ryon Thomas in the role of 'Tony' on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project. Simply put, Ryon perfectly portrayed the character vision of Clare's father in his self-tape audition. In fact, it was so perfect, the producers determined there would be no need for call-backs. Paul James was so moved by the tape, he sent Ryon a personal note immediately after viewing it: "Good evening Ryon, Please know I really haven't personally sent messages regarding tape submissions. But in your case, I was compelled to do so. You absolutely nailed my vision for the dialogue. It was an excellent tape. I also truly appreciated your story and perspectives. You definitely also look the part. I will inform Connie Jo I definitely wish to see you during call-backs. Once again, thank you for your precise interpretation of Tony. Cheers, Paul James" Ryon is a natural and talented actor and absolutely perfect for this role. We are overjoyed to add him to the official cast and look forward to seeing him on set. Congratulations Ryon! Paul James Official IMDB Bio: Ryon Thomas is an actor, known for Heroes of the Sky: The Mighty Eighth Air Force (2020), This Will Destroy You (2020) and Couch World (2020). Dreamotion Studios concludes the audition process for the three teen roles on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project by officially casting the wonderful and talented Sara Wolfkind in the role of 'Stacey'. Sara's audition path actually began with her application for the role of 'Clare'. And we absolutely loved the quality of acting and the high level of dedication in her self-tape. But we could not ignore the gut feeling rumblings, which were saying, "let Sara read for the role of Stacey."
There was just something about Sara which made it easy for us to ride the instinct train, and so we asked her if she would pursue the role of 'Stacey' instead of 'Clare'. And what we then discovered in Sara was the perfect representation of the character vision for 'Stacey'. 'Stacey' is a high-school teenage girl, who acts like a bully in an effort to impress and attract 'Kyle'... but who transforms into a vulnerable bullied child inside her own home. And Sara portrayed and projected this 'split personality' aspect of 'Stacey' perfectly and effortlessly. She also brought unique characteristics to the role, which slowly but surely began to make it her own. Sara is a fantastic fit for the role and both elevates and feeds off her co-stars (Piper and Luc) to establish the highest quality results. Where her perfect character balance, she also ensures the scenes featuring Stacey's mother ('Julie') will achieve their intended contrasting vision. Lastly... Sara's appearance allows the audience to believe 'Stacey' could indeed be 'Julie's' daughter... which is of course, an added bonus. Some things in film-making are just 'meant to be'... happen by chance... or are perhaps orchestrated by fate. Whatever the reason is here, we feel elated and fortunate Sara found the role she was meant to play in this film. Congratulations and welcome to the cast, Sara! Your inclusion presents the production with the strongest possible teen role trio, and I am excited to see you energetic and unique portrayal of 'Stacey' on set. Cheers, Paul James We would also like to take a moment to praise Corinna Wagner-Smith and Kendall Cato (who made it to the final live auditions) and all actors who submitted for this role. We truly feel very fortunate to have been in the enviable position to see so many talented actors during the audition process. Thank you! #fromunderthebridgefilm In arguably one of the most significant announcements to date, Dreamotion Studios is thrilled and ecstatic to officially cast Piper Reese in the lead role of 'Clare' on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project. This unanimous decision follows an extensive and meticulous audition process, in which over 600 applicants were carefully reviewed before the final selection was made. Piper has continuously and consistently displayed a tremendous desire to secure the role, and her dedication and work ethic has been conspicuous throughout. 'From Under The Bridge' official teaser trailer release! 5 clips were taken from the hundreds of personal bulling stories submitted by the auditioning actors to create this trailer. The tale/story told in the actual film is inspired by real events.
#fromunderthebridgefilm Dreamotion Studios is excited and in all honesty, relieved to officially cast Luc Clopton in the role of 'Kyle' on the 'From Under The Bridge' film project. Luc is a natural actor and brings immense energy and authenticity to the role. From his first 'self-tape' audition, it was obvious we had something very special in Luc, and with each audition take he has embraced and enveloped the character. It was evident today, with his effortless and commanding performances during the live auditions, Luc IS 'Kyle' (although here it must be said; when Luc breaks character, he is one of the nicest individuals you will ever meet!). Additionally, Luc and his personal story appear in the film's teaser trailer, which illustrates his complete comprehension of what the film and its relative messages are all about.
There is no doubt he will help ensure the teen cast will be an ensemble any actor, director and producer would be eager to work with. And I'm absolutely certain Luc's portrayal of 'Kyle' is going to make your heart race and send your emotions on an intense roller-coaster ride. Congratulations and welcome to the cast, Luc! We can't wait to call 'action' on your first scene! Paul James We would also like to take a moment to praise Thomas Shevela and Andrew Dalton (who made it to the final live auditions) and all actors who submitted for this role. We truly feel very fortunate to have been in the enviable position to see so many talented actors during the audition process. Thank you! #fromunderthebridgefilm |
